Ms. Monika Batra Vaidya is a trailblazer in Indian aviation, rewriting history with every milestone she achieves. As the first woman in India to earn a Microlight Pilot License, she paved the way for aspiring female aviators. Her journey continued to break barriers when she became the first female trainer on the Airbus A350, and today, she soars as a Senior Commander, piloting one of the most advanced aircraft in the world.
Trained at India’s premier aviation academy, Ms. Vaidya completed an intensive curriculum that included ground school, simulator immersion, and hands-on flight training. She played a pivotal role in operating the first-ever Long Haul A350 flight from Delhi to London, followed by her involvement in India's first Ultra Long Haul A350 flight from New York to Delhi. She participated in many of the “The Vande Bharat” evacuation flights during the COVID 19, risking her life during challenging times and standing strong in the face of adversity.
