Mr. Zia Shiekh is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with over 30 years of experience in banking, real estate, BPO, and hospitality. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in London and New York, specializing in investment banking and real estate securitization. He later co-founded Infowavz, one of India’s first BPOs, and led Stream Asia-Pacific to profitability across India, Malaysia, and the Philippines, culminating in a successful listing on the American Stock Exchange.
In 2011, Mr. Shiekh founded Svenska Design Hotels, a boutique luxury brand now spanning 40 properties across India. Under his leadership, Svenska has received multiple accolades, including the HICSA award for Best Small Luxury Hotel in South Asia, and recognition from Forbes, CNN, Condé Nast, and TripAdvisor.
He holds degrees from London Business School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has completed hospitality training at Cornell University.
